Ableton Sample Auto Tagger
A purpose-built desktop application for analyzing and organizing large sample libraries, including BPM and key analysis, review tools and Ableton workflow integration.
Overview
I developed Ableton Sample Auto Tagger as a custom desktop application to analyze, review and organize large music sample libraries for an Ableton Live workflow. This is an independently developed tool, with no official Ableton affiliation or endorsement.
The Problem
Large sample libraries can contain thousands of files, making it difficult to consistently organize and find useful sounds.
What I Built
I built a purpose-built desktop utility for analyzing sample libraries and improving the way samples can be organized and searched within an Ableton workflow. The real application interface brings library scanning, sample analysis, review and synchronization management together.
What It Does
The application analyzes BPM and musical key, presents confidence scores for review, and supports manual editing and BPM + key synchronization with an Ableton database.
