BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP

A website built around
how your business works.

Your services and the way customers contact you shape the design. Custom code gives us control over the layout, features and connections your business needs. Site builders such as Wix, Squarespace and Shopify can suit many businesses. My normal website work is custom-coded, so the layout and features are not limited to a builder’s templates. We can connect supported systems or build an unusual workflow, with accounts, code handoff and third-party dependencies agreed in your scope.

REAL WORK

Websites I’ve Built

The Spartan Factory is a website built for an apparel business. Nexus Signal is a technology-product website. Loom Instruments introduces my audio-software brand and its flagship instrument, Phase Loom. The software below shows independently developed tools. Each project explains what was built; fictional package examples and Labs concepts are labeled separately.

REAL PROJECTS. REAL CODE. BUILT BY ME.

SOFTWARE & CUSTOM TOOLS

Software & Tools I’ve Built

These independently developed software projects show work beyond business websites: organizing sample libraries, bringing audio controls into one tool, and shaping sounds with Phase Loom. They demonstrate working interfaces, not claims of paying client engagements or business results.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Do I own my website or software after I pay for it?

Your project agreement explains exactly what is transferred with your project. After full payment, you receive the rights to the final custom deliverables included in your agreement. Third-party services, open-source components and reusable Watkins Digital development tools remain subject to their own licenses or the terms in your project agreement.

What happens after my website goes live?

Your project includes the post-launch support period listed in your quote. After that, you can manage the site yourself where applicable, request additional work as needed, or use an ongoing Watkins Digital support plan. Hosting, servers, APIs and other third-party services remain separate unless specifically included.

Do I have to pay Watkins Digital every month?

No. A monthly Watkins Digital support plan is optional unless your specific project agreement says otherwise. Some projects do require third-party services such as hosting, domains, servers, databases or APIs, and those providers may have their own ongoing charges.

Can you build software or automation for my business?

Yes. I build custom tools, workflow automation, integrations and purpose-built software in addition to websites. If you have a repetitive process or a problem that existing software doesn’t handle well, tell me about it.

Are hosting, servers and API costs included?

Not automatically. Hosting, domains, servers, databases, APIs, AI usage and other third-party services are separate unless they’re specifically included in your quote. Whenever practical, these services are set up under your own account and billing.

How much does custom software cost?

It depends heavily on what needs to be built. Small tools and automations may start around $750, while larger software projects are individually quoted based on scope, complexity, integrations and infrastructure requirements.

Are these template websites?

No. Watkins Digital websites are custom-coded and built specifically around the business and project requirements.

How much does a website cost?

Standard projects currently start at $1,000. More advanced projects are quoted based on scope.

How long does a website take?

Most standard sites take approximately 2–4 weeks after the deposit is paid and required content has been received.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. Projects require 50% upfront and the remaining 50% after completion and approval, before launch or release.

Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes. I can help update your existing site with a cleaner design, improved mobile experience, and functionality that fits your business.

Do you offer hosting and maintenance?

Yes. Hosting management, security maintenance, updates and technical support are available. Third-party hosting and infrastructure charges are separate unless included in your quote.

Do I need to own a domain already?

You can inquire before choosing a domain. We will confirm the domain and hosting arrangements in your project scope. Registration and provider charges are separate unless your quote includes them.

Can you build custom features?

Yes. Custom functionality, integrations, tools, and automation can be discussed during project planning.
